Wedding Altar

What did your “wedding altar” look like? I was blown away by this darling Philadelphia wedding. My favorite detail is the yellow stripes leading up to the altar. Not sure what they are made of…streamers or strips of fabric? Either way, what a fun change from the traditional flower petals down the aisle.

Graffiti Wedding Cakes

Aren’t these just amazing? I really love the idea of a personal wedding cake. Something with all of your favorite memories written on it. Definitely for the non-traditional couple, right? If my husband & I had a graffiti wedding cake it would have had the names of lots of national parks, mention our road trip through Iceland, & include favorite camping spots!- definitely lots of travel memories!

I saw this photoshoot on 100layercake.com & just loved the styling. Wouldn’t it be fun to do an Arabian beach wedding? What I love the most are the gorgeous dresses used for the shoot… especially this one!

Doughnuts & Ice Cream!

Who needs a traditional wedding cake? How about 120 sweet, randomly flavored doughnuts piled high for wedding guests? This is one of the most creative wedding desserts that I’ve seen. They also had a sweet ice cream bar. I’d take doughnuts and ice cream over wedding cake any day!
